The reports that he has been receiving from his church members there and their families is that gasoline is high and that whites are being allowed to fill up their tanks while blacks are being limited to $5 in many locations. If you are traveling to provide help, go to Houston and other areas outside of LA to drop off goods or to pick up people for transport. Now his report may have been of isolated incidents but I have read on several boards where people in NO have asked people not to travel there but to pressure the government to get food, water, and resuers there.
