Poll question: POLL: Katrina & Supreme Court nominees |
|
How will the utter failure of the Bush administration to act with even minimum competence and humanity after the hurricane affect congress's and democrats in particular handling of Bush's nominees to Supreme Court?

1. IF the dems in offices were organized |
|
IF the dems in office had a clue IF the dems in office realized how bad this administration is for the entire US and IF the dems in office recognized that self-preservation of our nation takes precedence over their petty re-election issues,
then, maybe, just maybe they would act. I don't see it happening. The best person to visit New Orleans was Al Gore - and he silently told Faux Gnus to shove it. Al, I am so proud of you.
Other than Dems from the Black Caucus or LA, where were our representatives and senators? Where was Harry Reid? Where were Biden, Clinton, Durbin, and others? Nowhere to be found.
They are too tentative, too scared of being called (Oh my!) "obstructionist", "opportunist" or worse by those nasty neocons, and they are afraid of their own shadows. They look at polling data, then think about re-election first. Everything else goes by the wayside. They forgot about our country. They have abandoned us.
Heck, the GOP is actually more critical about the neocons than we are.
The first choice will be the easiest path - and the lazy, self-aborbed bums in office much prefer the easy step. They can avoid blame and keep their heads safe and sound and their brains turned off for future use. Maybe.
