Remember the care and dignity every time a body was removed from the WTC?
All the cable news stations would cut to their breaking news screen with the touching music and everything whenever another body was removed from the site. It went on for months. You think we are going to see any coverage of scenes like that happening with the victims in New Orleans? For New Orleans we are going to have CNN's Dr. Gupta holding rescued puppies.

1. That's why I don't watch the news anymore.
They don't want to show what's happening with the cleanup because for one thing, George W. Bush has been completely ruined by this disaster. Nothing that he or anyone else does or says will help at all. Second, there isn't anything to be gained from this disaster for the White House. if anything, the coverage will only further erode whatever support Bush currently has for his agenda with Iraq.

2. I thought of this when I read on DU
something about mass graves. They want to scrub this disaster from the pubic mind a.s.a.p. I want America to see every body discovered and to feel the shame that America must bear.

3. I was thinking about this myself . . .
not only was great care taken with the remains of those killed, but there was a national day of mourning, services at the National Cathedral, flags flown at half staff, and all kinds of other stuff honoring the victims of the tragedy . . .

of course, most of those victims were white businessmen and women . . . wonder if that's the difference? . . . :sarcasm:
