I expect we will hear from Al Gore soon....
And he will not pull any punches. He will speak for the real Democratic Party. He will say that we have neglected our own people and our own needs to spend in places like Iraq. He will take a very populist stance and explain that we have a duty and responsibility to look after our own people. And how the Congress has carried pork back to their districts at the neglect of parts of our country that are in more need. That is wrong. And that we have a moral obligation to take care of the least amongst us. That we, as a Party, must stand up for these people. That we cannot defend the corporations and the Halliburtons and the wealthy at the expense of the rest of America. That we cannot no longer be silent, hoping for a political advantage. The Democratic Party will fight for America!

3. Not for a while, right now he's too busy flying back and forth
to NOLA actually rescueing sick people.

But I'm sure President Gore will have something to say when he's finished.

5. Please, Al. Step forward. Wrestle that microphone out of a reporter's
hand if you have to, if that's the only way you can get airtime.
We need to kick-start this fight.

6. Here's what President Gore is doing.

. . .Passengers on the plane say they talked with former Vice President Al Gore, but he didn't make his presence known here in East Tennessee.

He stayed on the plane, saying he didn't want to add politics to the rescue mission, though there are reports he paid for it.

The plane is overnighting in Dallas but will fly more patients from New Orleans to Chattanooga Sunday.

According to another story, he chartered and paid for the plane.

7. Which brings up the question, why are the airline companies
not donating some planes of their own to help with this effort?
