Wolf Blitzer blames Clinton for levee disaster... Surprise!!
Did you see this just now in CNN? Blitzer was interviewing John Breau, former Senator from Louisiana about the lack of funding for improving the levees.

Breau said that he had gotten up several times in Congress and addressed the problem himself, as well as others. Immediately upon completing his statement, Blizter asks this terse question:

"Well, who's to blame for this, Clinton?"

I kid you not... this is verbatem! Breau responded that it had been going on for decades.

This was a blatant set-up by Blitzer to blame the Clinton administation and exculpate Bush. Breau is a retired Senator who spent much of his time during Clinton's term. What a calloused attempt to cover Bush's ass, who was really the one responsible for pulling the funding from the levee project... you and I know it was Bush (to funnel funds to his illegal war in Iraq).

How dare this sorry, low-down, piece of shit "reporter" try and lay the blame on "anyone but Bush"! Oh, I am furious about this one!!! :grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad:

31. I knew it was too good to be true.......
for a moment there I thought Leslie may have seen the light and assigned blame where it was actually due, for once. I guess that's too much to ask from an old bush whore.
"Wolf" continues to kiss bush's ass. "Same as it ever was, same as it ever was".

8. Clinton staffed 9/11 FEMA Bush staffed the Gulf Coast FEMA
Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 12:39 PM by CanOfWhoopAss
You don't replace everyone in 8 months prior to 9/11. This is Chicken George's FEMA that failed the Gulf Coast. It is Chicken George's FEMA that he underfunded and placed under Home Land Security with objectives of responding to terrorist threats not natural disasters.

Nevertheless, they will blame Cinton 'til the cows come home... for everything wrong! Funny how Shrubby called upon Clinton and Poppy to, again, help pull his ass out of THIS sling! :argh:

Without the complete conversation it is hard to tell whether or not Wolfie was being facetious or laying a mine for Breau.

28. There is no transcript yet... I just checked.
However, as I said above, Breau's immediate response was that the issue had "been going on for decades" and then he just reiterated that it should have been taken care of and wasn't. I think he was taken aback at the rank brashness of Blitzer's comment.

Nevertheless, I think Breau should have reminded Wolfie of the fact that it was the BUSH administration who had only recently cut funding to the project that was already under way! But no, whether Breau was actually shocked by the accusation and didn't know what to say, or whether he was just being PC, I don't know. I do really think that it was Leslie's intention to torpedo him.

25. Heard an on the ground reporter today
who said pointing fingers is beginning to fly down in the hit areas. They all point to the Federal Government. Some politicians were pointing to the Corps of Engineers BUT that the Corps responded fast to the criticisms and said that they had begged for money for this and were refused time and time again by the Bush administration. Shove that up your ass which is also your pie hole, Wolfe.

What a "fair and balanced" reporter he is! Did it ever occur to him that Clinton was hindered in every direction by a Republican congress? This is why I gave up on CNN long ago.
