For some strange reason, Rusmfeld decided to hold his press conference standing next to some blackhawks that sound ready to take off. Don't they even have the decency to realize that we SEE through these smokescreens? In this way, he is not saying anything important, he is being briefed about things they could tell him on the phone instead of viewing the area of disaster and the people who have been displaced.

How many people are fed FOX news in a bar or restaurant where they cannot hear the commentary? That amounts to a whole lot of subliminal advertising. So they show the crying folks for a day or two, and then it's all pictures of reunions and smiling relieved folks. People won't realize that the pictures of people being pulled off rooftops are LIVE because they are STILL THERE.

Folks should really try watching the TV with the volume off for a bit to see how this works. It is really important to grasp this fact about propaganda.

We need to use this strategy too. We need to take some time out from writing on the Internet and yelling and make some easily digestable optical material.
