4. NATIONAL STRIKE
I haven't posted enough to start my own thread but I think the march on Washington scheduled for Sept. 24 should be supported by a National Strike as well. if half a million people march...it will be quite a spectacle that makes a whole 25 seconds of a splash on some of the MSM outlets.

With a broad scale National Strike...NOONE can marginalize the degree of outrage nor the numbers of us involved. There are certainly MILLIONS and MILLIONS of us who simply can't attend or participate in Washington or even local gatherings but we CAN make a difference collectively simply by not going in to work or calling in sick in support and solidarity with the others who are marching that day.

The creole genocide, the rigged elections, the war, the corruption, ALL inclusive in this massive protest and when 100 million people don't go to work that day there will very certainly be a reckoning or at least a visible show of what our numbers REALLY are.

It starts with a voice...preferrably one with a microphone and perhaps that voice could encourage a few friends with microphones (Air America?) to begin spreading the word...

NOW is the time folks...anyone disagree?

(thanks for the platform)

5. I agree.......also some sort of emailing campaign NOW
like people did about the September 1st "no buying gas" email.

I'm wanting to reach those folks sitting on the fence who may be swayed by the bullshit on the media.

I'm shaking too much to type something myself....something coherent.

Can anyone recommend a SHORT, TO THE POINT summary of this administration's failings and why this is the last straw - preferrably written by a conservative - that could be part of this email mass mailing. With a concrete action to go along with it.....some sort of strike, protest, moment of silence, whatever......

6. and, maybe that gas strike on top of it.....
since it never happened, because of Katrina.

I know many say it really wouldn't affect the market to do that, but it still would be a good way to both protest this corporate, criminal administration, as well as mourn the victims of their latest act.

Most people won't participate in moments of silence and such during a work week. Middle America is pissed about the gas still, so if we can connect the two to get their attention about the lies being spewed about the Katrina-aftermath...........

7. sorry to be hijacking this thread, but another thing..........
in addition to, or perhaps all by itself, an emailing campaign showing the pics of King George eating cake AFTER the storm was coming ashore.

A visual accompaniment. Need to show things in black and white.

9. I agree and arm bands that day

If you go in a store like Walmart, don't buy anything just walk around and show your arm band to the supervisor.

12. I would like to suggest that the General Strike actually take place
on the 23rd and continue into the 24th. The 24th is a Saturday and many people just don't work or have classes that day anyway.
