2. It strkes me as hard to read
Too busy...maybe the background lettering (or the white color of both layers of lettering) is confusing my eye.

Besides the busy-ness aspect, it also mostly works if people know what you are talking about already. Many people on here would get it right off, but people who don't know what he was doing won't.
