Please DU this poll: United Methodist Church's gay-friendly conference
What is your opinion of Lake Junaluska (a United Methodist conference center owned by the Southeast Jurisdiction) hosting a pro-homosexuality conference?

3. check in the hurricane disaster relief & info & sources
search is currently disabled, but it you go to the top banner thingie and then do a ctrlF and look for flood buckets, you will find very specific info about what the United Methodists have undertaken.

4. Want info? Go to UMCOR website
www.umcor.org

Flood buckets, health kits, PLUS any money donated 100% goes directly to relief efforts (no overhead).

5. That's a really interesting situation.
I spent my first summer internship in seminary at Lake Junaluska. I know these people well, and believe me, this is a huge challenge for them. The fact that they're struggling with it is very, very encouraging. (it's called "baby steps," folks.. and that's what's going on. At least the baby is learning to walk!)
