I'm sicken to be a white person right now

On our news, we just had an item, on a bus shelter in new orleans that is being used for a prison, the reporter just said, it can held up to 700 prisoners, but there is only one being held.

They interviewed this prisoner, a man a african american man who looked to be in his late 60's, standing next to the reporter was a white prisoner guard.

The Prisoner said "I only stole food and water to survive"

The prison officer said "you had a gun and you tried to sell a van that was stolen"

The look of complete disgust the prison office gave him, the officer then sort of laughed at the camera shooked his head and walked off, and let this half naked prisoner just standing there outside in a makeshift prison in a bus shelter.

I dont know anything about the prisoner, but he seemed to be very old and didnt look like a harden criminal and IMHO the only reason he stole was to feed himself.

I thought the prisoner officer was disgusting, it was like he didnt know there has been a huge disaster.

7. Socioeconomic - ashamed of our treatment of the "have nots"

Of any color. Alot of the victims were elderly and disabled of all ethnic backgrounds. The outcome of Bush's war against the poor on up to the middle class.

9. Shame or Pride in one's own accident of birth is a null concept

just as applying either to one's own PLACE of birth. People should only express pride or shame due to their actions.
