"Let them have Bush! They will see!"
Many progressives said this to me in the 2004 election. Some even were so fed up they wanted to vote FOR Bush saying that America deserves another 4 years of this mad man!
They said this frustrated with his approval ratings and with no desire or passion toward Kerry.

Many didn't vote, or were going to vote FOR Bush as a way to "show the contry" how "fucked up" things could get. "Then maybe the Americans will know our side" they said.

Every time I heard this I wanted to vomit, but I am sure you heard this too. I am not making this shit up. City after city on the progressive voting tour, I heard this shit.

I would love to ask them now.

Still with Iraq going on…

Now Katrina...

Roberts...

Now another vacancy...

Well... what do you think now? You are enjoying this shit!

Sorry... had to vent as those memories came roaring back to me as I heard about Rehnquist’s death.

1. Hell Yeah I am enjoying it!
Let gas get up to 5 dollars a gallon. If it wasn't for the death and dying I would be laughing my ass off.. The way the media whores for the repukes, it is going to take events like these to show just how bad it is to put these idiots in charge. Until they open their eyes I hope all of the Bush bots get what they deserve. The only bad part is these Bush fans are still behind him and the repukes..

5. WEll the death and dying is not all of BUsh's screw ups.
Take into account that even without the IRaq war, the hurricane, 9-11, this is admin officials that tax cut the rich and put the burden back on the middle class. They have made bankruptcy harder so now those who are the middle class are the ones that will suffer. They give an absurd tax credit for a hummer purchase, and don't think these vehicles are not the ones they were thinking of when they gave it. Gas prices soar while under an oil president who once stated that Clinton should have gotten on the phone and told the OPEC cartel to open the spigots. At that time gas was 1.60. If Kerry were president and this hurricane hit think about how bad the media would be hounding him if he reacted like Bush has, eating cake and strumming a guitar? So yeah, take out the dying and death, and this whole administration is one big fucking joke on the us, and if they voted for his ass a second time even after the first, they deserve everything they are getting

6. "Progressives"????
personally, i haven't met or talked to ONE "progressive" that didn't vote.

i haven't met or talked to ONE "progressive" that wished this madness on us.

i haven't met or talked to ONE "progressive" that didn't contribute in one way or another to see Kerry/Edwards elected.

No idea whatsoever who these "progressives" of whom you speak are.

I do, however, know plenty of progressives, myself included, who feel a bit of "I told you so..." or even, like your alleged "progressives" thought "Let them have Bush! They will see!"... but AFTER The Theft- not before.

but LIHOP????? just to spite us???? no fuckin' way.
