Animals, cross post dailykos request for help
They are refusing to let in the animal rescue groups. This post
is an action item to call reps, media and so on to tell FEMA, officials to let them in.

3. This isn't detracting from saving people
These are speciality groups who rescue Animals.

There is absolutely no reason to allow them in.

That's why I keep kicking this.

As an animal lover, this is just more useless suffering and due to the outrageous human useless suffering will probably go under the radar...
but you can do both people realm and animal realm at the same time.

5. recommended and thank you for your post
of course we should all help as much as possible with human need--that goes without saying.

There are a number of organizations helping with the situation for the animals. Here are two you can donate to now and help:

Humane Society -- disaster relief:

Noah's Wish:

11. Here's the contact info:
From the dailykos post:

Please contact the following state officials and politely urge them to allow IDA and other animal protection organizations into stricken areas and administer their much-needed assistance. Be sure to thank them for taking necessary precautions, but let them know that it is time to allow rescue workers who are willing to risk their safety do what they came to do.

14. good
you see the dogs in the roof top rescue and zero dogs in the shelter.

Knowing America's attitude towards "no pets" I'm wondering where the pets are ending up.
