At least one person in the federal government must have been paying attention to Hurricane Katrina last weekend, last Monday, and early last Tuesday morning when the NOLA levees broke and began flooding the city.
If just one person noticed, surely word would have spread throughout the government, right up to Brown, Rice, Cheney and Bush within hours if not minutes. So sometime Tuesday morning all the people responsible for decisions and orders had to know what was happening in NOLA. And Tuesday night. And all day Wednesday and Thursday.
So why did Bush wait until late Tuesday to leave San Diego? WHY?
And why did Bush fly to Crawford instead of to Washington? WHY?
And why did Bush wait until Wednesday to fly to Washington? WHY?
And why didn't Bush give the necessary orders to mobilize federal aid as soon as he arrived at the White House? WHY?
Why was there no federal aid Thursday? WHY?
Why did Bush wait until Friday to send in aid, and why the childishly stupid photo-ops the same day? WHY?
It's now Sunday. They still don't have enough aid there. A full week has passed and the federal response is still inadequate. WHY?
Why did the Bush administration have to kill all these thousands of innocent Americans, and make so many more of them sick from disease? WHY?
Why won't the Bush administration honestly answer these questions? WHY?
Clearly, all their choices were deliberate. What on earth did they think they were going to accomplish by turning most of America and the world against them for their (at the very least) grotesque incompetence and criminal negligence?
Something evil is lurking under their skin and they're hiding something. What is it that they're hiding? What sick, twisted notion could they have had that they would somehow profit by deliberately letting all these people fall ill and die?
I simply can't fathom it.

Don't try to wrap your kind, good hearted nature around their insanity, SeaBiscuit. It isn't worthy of you.
Of course you don't understand. Any person with a shred of human decency, honesty, compassion, etc. could never understand such a thing as what has, or should I say, HAS NOT been done here.
