Call me stoopid for just figuring this out. I'm so fricking tired from all this that it was only today that I could articulate this nagging idea.

And its a *managed* ecosystem to begin with, i.e. far more of a "closed system" that south LA's coast and interior wetlands.
You and yours OK, 4MY? I recall realizing you were from around Lafayette in LA forum Mon or Tues.
