The Aushwitz Plan
It is mighty suspicious the New Orleans "refugees" (as the corporate media call the Americans removed from the disease-ridden swamp left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina) are being relocated far and wide. Most of them will probably never return and will end up in ghettoes in Baton Rouge, Houston, and elsewhere (it appears Baton Rouge is being groomed as an expansive slum, since the rebuilt New Orleans will be a casino and tourist destination with time-share condos and luxury housing).(*Hastert has already showed his hand in this regards)

It should be noted that the usual suspects will "remove debris" and supposedly "restore electric power" and "repair roofs" (an absurd declaration, considering many if not most of the homes in the New Orleans swamp will be condemned). "The Navy has hired Houston-based Halliburton Co.," theHouston Chronicle reported on September 1, well before the current effort to "rescue" and "evacuate" those not killed outright during the storm and afterwards, as Bush was on vacation and FEMA twiddled its thumbs, allowing as many residents as possible to die before people who actually have a conscience and are not neoliberal sociopaths began to scream and demand Bush be impeached for criminal negligence. "Halliburton subsidiary KBR will also perform damage assessments at other naval installations in New Orleans as soon as it is safe to do so," that is to say after the "refugees" have been relocated in distant slums. "FEMA privatized hurricane disaster recovery planning for New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana. The firms that received the contract are big GOP contributors," writes Wayne Madesn. For some reason I am not surprised.

1. If they were loading them on cattle cars and telling them to "leave their
belongings behind, we'll ship them behind you" then I'd be VERY NERVOUS

3. no doubt, i'd like to see what the difference is between...
..the response in Mississipi. with Barbour being such a typical Bush Republican in charge, and most of the people being white, I'd like to see someone investigate and write an article about the difference in responses. Seems if you want to prove criminal negligence, this might be one of the many good places to start.

6. Does Louisiana have a hate crime clause?
Make sure they do every moment of time possible.

7. A little while ago on CNN
There was a report from Biloxi.... people are angry because they aren't getting food or water either. It better than in New Orleans, but people are suffering there as well.

4. They've been loaded on buses, able to take very few
belongings, and nobody would tell them where the buses were going.

Not a whole lot of difference.

I can understand why some people didn't want to go.

9. I was looking thru AP photos and saw at least one instance
of families being split up, with the men not being allowed to go with their spouses.
How the heck are these families ever going to get back together?

11. I was telling my wife last night about the families being split up, and...
...how much it sounded like slaves being sold prior to the Civil War.

I am way beyond angry about the way the NeoCons have handled this fiasco.

2. This is going to be the biggest land grab in history
they are coming up with every excuse in the world to not let these people go home. Once the water is gone, then it should be up to the individual whether or not they want to go back. This is how it works every where else in this country when we have natural disaster.

5. Maybe the reason no help came for so long was to punctuate
the point that these people were no longer welcome in NO.

when they're dead.

13. I suspect most of the 450k "evacuees"
will return to NOLA.

It'll just take a while, and be slow. I'd expect some to return in a few months, to be quite honest.
