11. I know- my jaw dropped at some of the things he's been saying.
Is it possible that Joe is turning a wee bit blue? Has he started to see the light? He's actually a pretty smart guy overall- I disagree with most things he says in a big way but at least he has the decency to research his point of view (as opposed to most Bush fans and neocons who simply spit out the party line bullshit).

Being from a hurricane state does have a way of making one especially sensitive to incompetence in this area- but his anti-Bush comments are truly blowing me away.

We can only hope.

49. No, Sean was an early prototype model created long before the
deprogramming switch type 23-A was introduced. Sean can only be scrapped or perhaps saved for useful spare parts. But since that model is considered of a very inferior quality, I doubt that they would recycle any of it's parts.

Gingrich said the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina "puts into question all of the Homeland Security and Northern Command planning for the last four years, because if we can't respond faster than this to an event we saw coming across the Gulf for days, then why do we think we're prepared to respond to a nuclear or biological attack?"

23. If Bush has lost Joe "Newt Gingrich is too liberal" Scarborough...
then, he could be in trouble.

Scarborough will sometimes call it like he sees it - after the first debate with Kerry, he basically said it was a disaster for Bush. Which, of course, it was.

Of course, by debate 3, he was back to giving Bush a B/J.

40. Today I Was Thinking...
...about the San Diego "firestorm" of a few years ago. I was stuck in it one night. The place I was working at was surrounded by fires, & we could not get out. Every road we tried, we were turned back. We finally had to go back to the workplace, & we stayed there all night, worrying that the fire was going to come over the mountain & down into the valley where we were. When the firestorm happened it was too soon after 9/11 & everyone gave Bush a pass. Now I wonder if he deliberately didn't help us, also. The fires lasted a lot longer than they should have. It didn't seem like the people who were supposed to run things were running them very well. I keep thinking about how Bush probably could have cared less about us, too. I could have died, my family members could have died, & he wouldn't have cared, just like he doesn't care about the people of NO. America needs to wake up. Bush could care less what happens to us. He needs to be forced out of office, & he needs to take his fascist friends with him. The America I am seeing these days is *not* the America I want to live in.

48. I saw it as the opposite. If you want to criticize the governor of LA,
you don't do it by invoking the name of Jeb Bush. He was NOT praising the leadership of Jeb at all. If he was praising Jeb, he would have provided examples of how effective Jeb is as a leader, but JS didn't do that. With venom in his tone, he said slammed GWB for his inaction in this case and basically said that because it didn't involve his brother's state, nothing was done until it was too late.
