Looks like the GOP is getting back to work
Tragic as the hurricane was, we certainly can't dwell on it forever. Life goes on, and we all need to get on with our lives. In that vein, its nice to see, that the Leadership Institute ("the premier training ground for tomorrow's conservative leaders") will be proceeding with its monthly Wednesday Wake Up Club Breakfast this week in Arlington, VA. And, who might this month's featured speaker be?

Bobby Jindal, Republican Congressman from Louisiana.

It seems from his bio that Bobby has set a strong agenda for his first term - including Protecting the natural treasures of Louisiana, preserving the beautiful coast and enhancing Louisana's role in supplying oil and gas to the world.

Bobby's district includes Baton Rouge, which, yesterday at least, was http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_report/story/342954p-292866c.html">overflowing with refugees from New Orleans and the southern Parishes. Nice to know that everything's going so smoothly now that Rep. Jindal can come up to Washington and give a pep talk to the troops.

3. We need a Dem to run against Jindal
Is there a Dem candidate out there to run
against Jindal in 2006?
He is a freshman Congressman and we ought to
be able to win this seat back given Bush's
stunning incompetence. We should tie
Bush and FEMA around this guy's neck like
a rotting chicken.
His constituents aren't going to be too happy
with the school crowding caused by relocation of
so many people to Baton Rouge.
