Anyone Admiring Rove, Has a Very Low Standard for "Genius" |
|
In fact, the little doughboy is more dellusional and disconnected to everyday people in this country than most think. Therefore, those who admire him are also disconnected. Not to mention immoral.
Imagine being empty and always in need of something you can never have... sad.

2. "Losing His Touch", or Just "Touched"? |
|
Somehow, I think the latter.

that he didn't really dream up so much than anyone else couldn't have dreamed up. The main difference was the he was willing to stoop lower than anyone else and actually do those kind of things. I don't see that as genius because there's a reason people don't usually stoop that low...it never works out in the long run. Most people usually get shown for what they are eventually. Let's hope in this case it's true as well.

5. Anybody who by hook or crook can get a dimwit in the White House |

has political genius out the ying-yang. I can't count how many of these "Rove is not a genius" threads I've seen after every one of Bush's disasters. But, Rove always keeps them in the game. The final fallout from Katrina isn't in yet, but I'm betting Rove keeps Bush above 40% in the polls. That is amazing given his complete, widely viewed failure in New Orleans.
Rove is a sleezeball and immoral. He is a traitor and a disaster for our country. But, he knows his base. He finds a way to win. In that he has genius. He is not admirable by any stretch, but he does whatever it takes to win.
People here continuously underestimate the enemy. That's dangerous.

just the stupidity of the Murkan public, as Mencken warned.
And, as you point out, T.B. knows his (Bush's) base.
