Fireworks and Republicans.
I had an interesting experience tonight with my girlfriend's family. We were setting off some fireworks, as we do at many family get togethers, I suppose in honor of Labor Day tonight (?). But, while we've done it a few times before, at the end of the house's driveway, and I was equally cautious then, there seemed to be a little bitterness from a couple of the men due to the fact that I was actually taking precautions. I wasn't doing it in an extremely outward manner. To begin with, I had only brought out a bucket filled with water to put the expelled fireworks in, or to use in the event of an emergency (I also have three firefighters in my family- my stepfather, my mom's brother, and my mom's late sister's husband, which I didn't mention but to my girlfriend under my breath). But, we had a couple of mishaps, involving some running and aerial fireworks going off into the brush, around the house and across the yard. One missed me by about a foot as I was running for the garage and yelling for others to do so. At which point many yelled for the hose to come out of the garage, which I ran to get, putting the hose over my shoulder. We doused everything that could have turned firey.

Anyway, later on my girlfriend's brother-in-law seemed a little angry at me.

It just seems awfully typical of them. To even THINK about bad possibilities coming from our actions is unpatriotic, disloyal, negative and wussy according to Republicans. Even as our family runs for their lives because there are FIREWORKS SHOOTING EVERY WHICH WAY, WITH 15 MONTH OLD KIDS AROUND.

I just thought this related maybe a little to what happened in New Orleans.

2. Just thought it was a good illustrative analogy.
Sorry if noone saw the relevancy.
