gee, what happened to 'political capital...and I'm going to spend it?' |
|
also: "Now that I have the will of the people at my back." what happened to that line? replaced by 'Karl, get me the fuck out of here?"

5. i might be too idealistic, or something |
|
but bush never having been elected in 2k says he never had any 'political capital'....and therefore has been like a donut w/out any do! history MAY BE replete with examples of oppressive regimes that use violent force to run their societies, but 'supposedly' the USA had a different logic, and it was the logic that made sense....what's amazing in the whole bush extravanganza is that noone, as he's now noon, seems to be conscious that, if your basic building block (a real mandate) is missing, your tower might be a bit wobbly....

7. It wasn't political capital it was Fear in the bank after 9/11. And the |
|
bank was empty by August.
I don't think Bush is enough of a s. to purposely allow lawlessness to cycle - but some of the people around him are just nuts enough to want that..and to give him bad advice so they could get it.
Now his bank is filled with fear!
