There were 60 thousand people in the Super Dome not 20 thousand
Our media is reporting that there were in fact 60 thousand stuck in the super dome, not 20 thousand.

They are also reporting some pretty horrific stories from there.

Apparently doctors who delivered babies, were standing in human waste, and they were just dropping the placenta on the floor.

One New Zealand tourist said, there was gunfire in there and people were shoulder to shoulder and fights were breaking out.

As people were leaving there was more gunfire.

Pretty scary stuff.

5. Can you post a link?
Didn't think I could feel any more nauseous than I have all week. I am so ashamed for my country and so frightened for our future. The only thing that has given me any hope all week is the way the MSM FINALLY began to do their job, and the number of Americans who are as appalled, angry, and shamed as I am.

God help us all; I fear for the very soul of my country.

7. David Brookes said on Chris Matthews this morning after the 1927 flood
of the Mississippi River they hearded black citizens into what were essentially concentration camps and forced them to work on the levees.

I heard Brooks say this, to which Andrew Sullivan seemed surprised as was Matthews.

Hell must have frozen over as Sullivan critisized the Bush admin for this criminal injustice to American citizens.

10. I talked to my neighbor lady today to ask her if her relatives
were safe as she is from LA. She said yes but there were a few who got spread around. Then we talked about the tragedy of NOLA and the FIVE DAYS delay in significant help. She said, well it's like that in the south.. Good folks, some iffy folks but attitudes about differing races is STILL PRESENT. She was savvy enough and calm enough to NOT bring up racism straight out but she did talk about the horrendous way poor people are treated in those states: Black or white, but of course the majority of the LA population IS black. Perhaps that's why she is living in Santa Cruz CA right next door to me now............

Don't forget ANGOLA PRISON and how DESPICABLY they treated their black inmates for ages... It's historic

Something else that your post reminded me of. I heard some talking heads speak of putting "those people" to work FIXING the rubble of NO when the time came. Of course the person doing the talking said they should BE PAID about $20-30 per hour..so that part was decent..but still.....

8. It varied over days. Some victims were making their way to the dome
the whole week while others had been bused out. At one time was it 60,000?
