Those people we elect, Let's stop calling them 'Leaders' o.k? |
|
the democratic and republican 'leaders' should be called something more appropriate, because that particular label doesn't fit them.
i guess people will always figure they need leaders to tell them what to do and protect them, and that those leaders must be elevated to the top of our social structure and treated like barons and lords, and given mansions to live in, and limos with drivers.
we obviously DON'T NEED LEADERS because look at us out here, we're on our own, we have no leaders.
and if a few actual leaders show up on the scene, people who deserve the title 'leader', i'll follow them. we'll know em' when we see em'.

How can ANYONE win if the Republicans support their "guy" no matter what and we support our "guy" no matter what?

They did the same exact thing then. They ignore the disaster and pretend they could never imagine such things and they let the situation spin out of control for as long as possible until they respond. They do this on purpose. This is their MO.

8. Complete agreement. The whole republican ideal is that we "common" people |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 05:47 AM by Mairead
are capable of ruling ourselves, leading ourselves, taking decisions for ourselves. That we don't need people with "noble blood" to run our lives for us.
We keep forgetting that.
Part of our forgetting, I'm sure, is due to how cleverly Madison and the other wealthy elites of the day managed to re-create over here, in republican clothing, the British monarchy and nobility. One has to admire their cleverness even while cursing them.
