Where was bush* Tue night?
Rehnquist has been dead for what, 36 hours? Where was the pResident 36 hours after Katrina hit? I'm thinking golf, not gulf.

3. I know good and damn well he wasn't at the WH
standing behind a podium, making anouncements about what he was going to do for the people in the gulf. He was in Crawford while people were dying.
Rehnquist died Sat night, didn't he? 36 hours later, his replacement is anounced. 36 hours after the disaster in the gulf, bush* was hanging out at the 'ranch'.

5. This is disgusting.
There are really no words to describe how pissed I am.
bush* appoints Roberts within a day and a half of Rehnquist's death, yet he couldn't get back from the party in that period of time to deal with the gulf disaster?
Where's the outrage?

6. lot of outrage on DU and a few jabs from the Press
but Bush-bots managed to justify it to themselves.

I believe Condi was shoe shopping (1000 bucks a pop) while people were drowning.

9. Excellent work by Stephanie.
Thanks for the link.
What has he done between Rehnquist's death and the Roberts anouncement?
I didn't see much from the WH yesterday. One pitiful press conference, I think.
Then this morning's big FU to the country.
