I'm not clear how this works. It looks like we can flip both houses of Congress next year.

John Roberts is Bush's insurance against inpeachment. Worse, by putting this buffoon, who has no federal judiciary experience, other than carrying Rhienquists' ball sack, on the court Bush hopes to have a stooge who will nullify the constitution, and manipulate national law for decades to come. The Coward from Crawford just doesn't stop, does he?

15. It doesn't matter ... |
|
The Senate sets the impeachment trail rules. If Democrats are in the majority, they will set the rules. If Republicans are in the majority, it won't matter anyway.
If the Chief Justice ignores the rules, that will be grounds for HIS removeal and impeachment.
It's all moot unless Democrats mount a NATIONAL campaign to make 2006 an "impeachment recall". The Republicans will not be able to repudiate the president and call for his removal in defense.

10. This is Bush we're talking about |
|
He'll do something stupid like making the new guy Chief Justice.
He announced that Roberts will be the new Chief Justice this morning.
You know, the guy in charge of FEMA was put in charge because he was a Bush Buddy, not because he knew how to work with disasters.

12. Impeachment is a dream. |
|
Why do people continue to play out this fantasy??? It's mind boggling
Impeachment starts in the house of Congress. The GOP owns the Congress, lock stock and barrel. In 2006, even if we win a dozen seats, we still not have the votes to do anything.
Impeachment would not even make it to the floor for a voice vote.
We should concentrate on winning seats in the future

13. It is also the proper path |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 09:39 AM by firefox
Because WarCriminal is worthy of his trial in the Senate, we should call for his impeachment. The lesson learned that the Congress has failed to do its duty just means we should be more vocal in our efforts to remove WarCriminal and we should also call for the replacement of the entire Congress that serves the same master as Bu$h.
Impeachment may be a dream, but it is also an intellectual conclusion. A fascists Congress does not change that conclusion. It just tells us that the government is fascist and a big change needs to come with the next election.
Impeach WarCriminal and sweep Congress clean.

It is the proper path and it is also an intellectual conclusion. Didn't so many other great accomplishments in history seem like pipedreams?
BTW, we have the power to recall Senators and Representatives.

If only more people would open their eyes to this.

He won't be impeached regardless. We simply have to survive the storm of his presidency. It just ain't gonna happen. He won't be held accountable for this. Only blacks and liberal whites will be pissed along with people who this storm affected directly for the most part. It ain't gonna happen.
