With all this anger
don't you think someone is just going to *SNAP*??

I mean - if *I'm* having "bad thoughts" and I'm a "realitively normal", educated, pacifist leaning soccer mom - what do you think those maybe a little more near the edge are thinking?

1. This Is A Nightmare
I know just what you're saying. I'm a pacifist Quaker -- very anti-death penalty -- and I keep trying to suppress thoughts of firing squads.

10. It's that old
how far do you go to save people dilemma, I think.

Even if you're a pacifist and you see someone trying to kill your child, how far would you do to stop them? I know what *I'd* do in that scenario.

I think about all the damage this @hole has done. How much more can he do if allowed to pack SCOTUS with his racist neocon federalist society buddies????

I feel so angry and helpless that I vacillate between crying, raging, and feeling apathy take hold because it seems to fricking HOPELESS.

How the HELL can 38% of the public think bush has done a "good job" on Katrina?

How the HELL can people support these stupid b@st@rds and their policies of hate and line their pockets?

I know I'm rambling here, but OMG I am just so GD P*ssed!! WTF are we going to do?

Sorry.

12. Being a pacifist has nothing to do with not defending yourself
or protecting your children.

A pacifist opposes war not self-defense.

A pacifist can still be a warrior.

I consider that a very important measure of self defense.

7. The problem is that these people that WE think are totally nuts
feel the same way about us. America has really crumbled all ready. All we have left is a thin veneer of civility and you see how fast that evaporated in NOLA.

13. you must felt bad
they deleted your thread. Sorry.

Try and vent more "politely" I guess.

Only who the HELL wants to be "polite" about these jerks anymore.

I know I'm just raging in this thread and not making much sense but if I don't blow off some steam verbally somewhere - well -

JFHC - it is such a total mindblowing experience to consider that people still support this b@st@rd! HOW can they? How can they do this? It is like supporting Hitler, isn't it? Check your brains at the door, folks, just do what we say. Believe what we tell you. Ignore the man behind the curtain. Praise the Lord and pass your pocketbooks over.

How stupid can people be

21. why they heck
did they elf this?

"BUSH!

Please stop. Please just go away and let some sane people take over what is left of this country. I don't know how much more I can take. I have come to no personal harm during any of your insane mis-administration, but, nonetheless, you are ruining my life. From the shit you pulled during the recount in 2000, through 9/11 and the anthrax attacks, the buildup to the Iraq War and its aftermath, your cheating in the Presidential debates and the rigged election and now the disaster in the South, I have spent countless hours worrying over what was going to happen and trying to get the real facts (as I live in a reality-based World) while you, your government and the media fed me lies and bullshit. Every day I get up wondering what the hell is going to go wrong next.

Even if none of the tragedies of this decade were your fault (which I don't believe for a moment) any employee who had so many disasters happen on their watch would be fired, no driver with so many accidents could expect their insurance not to be canceled, no business owner could expect to avoid bankruptcy when they screwed up so famously so many times. Why are you different? You used to be in the baseball business, managers get fired for poor performance all the time-you are zero for god-knows-how-many and we are supposed to cheer you on?

I am frustrated, angry, sad and depressed twenty-four hours a day seven days a week and I am sure I am not alone. All the pleasure has been sucked out of my life. You, on the other hand, seem to thrive on this shit.

So please, take your bike and pickles and your two kids and go back to your ranch. Tell all the incompetent millionaire thieves you have appointed to high office to go home and enjoy their wealth, otherwise, I suspect they will someday have to defend it with their lives-and it will not be pretty. Picture one of your daughters or Cheney's face down in the water with her pants around her ankles- her picture on the internet for the whole World to see-and no one bothering to collect her corpse. Just in case you don't know about that, I can e-mail you the picture. It happened in OUR country on YOUR watch.

So just go away please and take your cronies with you. The sane, reality-based community will collect the dead, extricate us from Iraq and try to put the pieces of this country back together."

I see nothing wrong with it. And everything right. (Except you could have added a couple of adjectives to "your two kids" that would have been in order!)

Repost? What repost?

8. I've been thinking some "bad thoughts" myself.
I want them OUT. I'm nearly incandescent with rage.

I have NEVER hated elected officials before -- my thought was always that "good people can disagree about how things should get done."

Now, I don't even consider the folks in the Administration "human" -- I think of them as EVIL akin to Hitler and other Anti-Christ figures.

The more I learn, the angrier I get.

11. exactly.
How much more havoc can we allow them to wreak?

WHAT can we DO? Seriously.

I was so galvanized during the last election - I felt so happy that WE were going to oust this pretender and his cronies. I was sure - so SURE - that we had won - and we probably did just like before - and then they stole this election, too.

What lengths will they not go to, to ensure they remain in power and strip the common man?

They ARE evil. And the people who support them are either ignorant or evil. I hardly even speak to my extended family anymore because I know we will get into an argument about politics. They worship at the republican feedtrough without thought of what it means. I canNOT understand them. I can barely tolerate them. I really truly honestly can't comprehend how anyone can support these b@st@rds in anything.

14. I keep hoping one of the
leading Dem politicians will grow some and speak UP! Loudly and forcefully.

I wish people would pour into the streets in massive protests. Everyone everywhere go on strike and refuse to work or go home until Congress impeaches and removes ALL of these b@st@rds from office - and charge them with crimes.... all of the crimes of which they are guilty: treason, dereliction of duty, war crimes - you name it - they've done it.

God they make me sick.

19. its one thing to not have faith in government...
and another to not have faith in people. This pulling down of the curtain on racism is a bit too much for me to swallow without gagging. There are some very, very, selfish, arrogant, bigots,.. masquerading as American citizens...revealing just how sick this society is.

20. Racism and bigotry
has been alive and well all along - just better hidden from "WHITE" Amurhka. They pretend to not be racist, but they are. Deep in their lily-white hearts they hate blacks and hispanics and asians. They fear those who are "different" from them. They need to feel superior so they keep them poor and uneducated because they can't tolerate the possibility that they aren't "inherently better" than "those people.

I know this first hand. I was raised that way. And then I learned the hard way by falling in love with my African American foster baby and adopting him and caring for him as my own flesh and blood. (I even forget sometimes that he's adopted. Weird, huh?)

23. I have thoughts like that too.

Yup. yup. yup.

Reminds me of a young man who was from Mississippi who told me about a relative of his that just totally lost it when Martin Luther King was killed. Extremely emotional events can have quite profound effects on people, and often set in place a set of all kinds of reactions.

Who the heck knows what will happen? (to paraphrase Rumsfeld.)

25. I have compassion fatigue now :(
It's all so overwhelming what's going on in our country right now. I'm hoping those Dem leaders are channeling their anger to whack this administration over the head, after the rescue if completed. This is totally Bush's fuckup, not any one agency! The buck stops with him!!

I'm mad watching the news....those flood waters should be filled with small boats, there are still people stranded...on Day 7 !!!!
