The military has "kick Katrina's ass" t-shirts? Oh, tough response. |
|
Admiral Keating on MSNBC right now.
Was this another of Rove's ideas? Give them t-shirts that read "We're gonna kick Katrina's ass" -- as if that makes up for the response that was too little and too late?

print the t-shirts. This just grates. Assholes. Marketing a national disaster. Shallow, callous.

10. Are we sure about that? |
|
That's not part of the uniform. You can't just wear a t-shirt like that with your uniform, and you can't perform offical duties in anything other than your uniform.
I need to see proof of this one. I believe people are wearing these t-shirts, but I have a hard time believing it's active duty military folks. I say this with 8 years of active service under my belt.

11. Yes, they can. The uniform of the day is whatever the commander decides |
|
My husband has t-shirts as part of his uniform. He's active duty. The t-shirts have the regimental crest on them and he wears it with his BDU pants.
Fortunately he's never been required to wear a t-shirt with a stupid sound bite on it. However, I have seen those that have
Airborne wear black tees with their BDU pants as well.

12. Chris Jansing just referred back to that part of what the admiral |
|
had said, reminding someone else that he'd said that "military people are saying they're going to kick Katrina's butt." I'm sure that was a reference to the sentence I heard, and I'm pretty sure Keating was referring to the military wearing these t-shirts, but I don't have a transcript.
