Housing For One.......
I do not have housing to supply. I was a victim of the hurricane, and am currently in Europe, extending my stay, obviously. My house and car are completely flooded. I suspect that it may be a while for the New Orleans airport to be operational again, and even if it were, I would not have a place to stay, or any transportation to get out. My flight will connect in Washington, so I figure that I will simply walk out of the airport at that time. I am trying to arrange the purchase of a car in the Northeast, that I could pick up the day after I arrive. However, I will first need a place to stay the day I arrive. Hopefully the next day I take a Greyhoud bus to pick up the car that I will need to buy. I then will drive to my sister's in Memphis and figure out what to do from there. I suppose I could stay in a hotel when I get to Washington, but $200 for a hotel is money I would rather save, especially as I will have other expenses to contend with. I would appreciate a spare bed and a bath when I get to Washington. I don't know what day I would arrive, and perhaps I can extend my stay in Europe for long enough of a time so that FEMA will have housing for me when I arrive. But I am trying to think about how to get my life back together. I am a college educated, heterosexual, white male, 39, non-smoker who voted against W, if that makes a difference. I would not care to stay with an evangelical as I do not wish to be preached at about how my city is (was) a 21st Century Sodom & Gommorrah. I will happily discuss my disgust about everything assocaited with the W administration. Thank you
