Just for the entertainment value. Plus, I'm interested in what the official RW mantra will be, given that Pimple-Butt sets the tone. I already know there will be the typical blame-shifting and finger-pointing galore.

11. If he goes on air today I will be really surprised
At which point the only "rescuing" he will be doing will be trying to save Bush's ass.

5. I can save you the trouble.
Everything that has gone wrong in the Katrina response is due to Bill Clinton, Barbra Streisand, Cindy Sheehan, and the local and state authorities (the ones who are Democrats) on the Gulf Coast. The president and all Republicans involved remain perfect.

There. I just saved you three hours of pain!

(Actually, it's probably true that he's hiding today like everyone else. But now you don't have to listen tomorrow either.)

15. I'm glad AAR has live programming.
Laura Flanders on the Franken show. Lots of people off work to hear her while the Rushies listen to a rerun.

16. Well .... I was able to force myself to endure about 25 minutes.

It was him speaking but he didn't say a thing about the Gulf Coast or FEMA or anything close. There wasn't any message indicating it was a repeat broadcast and he was taking callers. For the first 15 minutes or so he went on about how great the economy is doing in spite of the price of gas "... oh sure, prices are going to go up. There's a WAR going on!" The most absurd illustration he used was when he pointed out how ".... recent college grads are making $150,000 a year sweeping floors on Wall Street". I had to laugh.

One interesting thing I noticed. In the 25 minutes I listened to that drivel, he only had one advertiser other than himself. The History Channel had a short spot about something that was airing tonight. He had one for his newsletter and one for the Rushbaugh store where you could buy T-shirts and bumper stickers (overpriced no doubt). It's very interesting that corporate America doesn't want to be identified with this buffoon.
