Paul Krugman will be a guest on the Franken AAR show
with Laura Flanders as the guest host. I will give a heads up on this thread when he comes on. I am sure he will talk about the the Katrina/BushCo disaster which was the topic of his latest column.

1. That's good news
but Luara Flanders? I rather beat my head on the wall than listen to her.

2. Sounds like you've done that one too many times before.
;) Sorry, but IMO Laura Flanders is one of the best and having Paul Krugman on is excellent.
He's coming up next.

4. First time I've ever listened to her...she sounds great!
'It went from natural disaster to man made catastrophe'

How true that is.

8. Paul makes the point that the resources you need to respond
to a terrorist attack are basically the same that you need to respond to a natural disaster.

9. Krugman now is saying that BushCo is working overtime
on blaming the locals. He says that they may very well succeed since the democrats are not standing up. Disaster relief is a New Deal (FDR) innovation.

10. Krugman speaking.
I don't trust my political instincts anymore. You would have thought there would be national outrage. The Dems are not standing up. You're hearing the local officials. Federal Disaster Relief is actually a New Deal idea. Result of the flooding of the Mississippi.

The Republicans don't like any New Deal ideas.

13. Alas, 'tis true
He was Joe Allbaugh's roommate in college. Worse yet, he was fired from that job for incompetence.

14. That is so fucked up
Gets fired for doing a rotten job of running horse shows then gets hired to run FEMA.
