Celine Dion on Larry King: She breaks down crying, Larry asks her to sing
Celine Dion's Crying Plea

On Larry King's special Saturday "How You Can Help," Celine broke down in tears over the tragedy that Hurricane Katrina has wrought.
Video-WMP

She attacked the U.S.'s war in Iraq and the government's response to Katrina. She was visibly upset over the plight of the victims of the Hurricane, but Larry in the middle of it asks her if she'll sing a song. I know she was probably supposed to be there to sing, but come on Larry. She sang a prayer.

2. Ask Wynton Marsalis to play a song
when he was giving the Administration hell. I couldn't belive King was being such an ass.

4. Larry kept trying to interrupt Wynton while he was speaking but,
thank goodness, Wynton didn't stop, he got out most of what he wanted to say.

Larry King is disgusting, imo. His goal, first and foremost, is to protect his personal friend, George Bush.

3. she is wonderful--maybe her tears actually woke up some of the brain-dead
rw's who seem to be as lacking in compassion as their hero.

larry's timing was certainly rotten. and I noticed he kept interrupting her. was he on the air too long? needed oxygen, perhaps?

8. He treated the boy band N-SYNC the same way
a few years ago when the boys were top of the charts. Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (both accomplished musicians) were treated like silly teens and pieces of meat more interested in girls than their music. As they tried to edge the conversation toward musicianship Larry pushed the other way asking mundane crap. The final insult was at the end when King asked them to sing 'Jingle Bells.' I just shook my head and said "those poor guys."
