If another storm of Katrina's magnitude is predicted to hit shore, in the Gulf or elsewhere, will we do things differently? Will we have convoys of trucks with water and food, and military vehicles and helicopters to assist with rescues, if this happens again? Vehicles could be lined up 50-100 miles away and could make it to the scene of the disaster within just a few hours. Shouldn't this be part of any FEMA strategy? We should never be caught so flat-footed and unprepared ever again...

1. What we have learned is that all towns, cities, |

counties are on their own and should be prepared to cope with whatever comes their way. There will be no federal or state help because the federal will not deliver and will block the state from helping.

bunkers/buildings designed for 300 mph winds,(they do exist) stocked up with mre's, water, supplies that are necessary in such a disaster.
Trucks, boats, rafts and helicopters safely housed in an emergency response unit able to withstand ANY category storm.
