I intend to write the media, all of them, and tell them to stay
focused on Katrina. Nothing is more important right now. I don't want to hear about Justices or Chief Justices or anything else until these people are taken care of. I will also ask them not to "sugar-coat" the actual facts of the deviation in the states that were hit by Katrina. I think we should all write and ask them to do this and also to keep asking the hard questions and demanding answers about this colossal failure of our Federal Government. Anyone else have anything to add?

1. Enough with the "looting" already
The bigots are out in full force actually refusing to help these poor displaced people, and they're using the TV footage of looting as their excuse (see the DU thread about Jesse Jackson in VA and "your kind aren't wanted here").

Odds are these people are NOT looters. But you'd never know it by the footage shown repeatedly on TV. They are contributing to the problem.
