Where is Howard Dean?
I thought at least he would have the balls to call out the idiot in chief.

3. A fucking press release?
Yeah, that really is strong stuff.:sarcasm: He should be on the air to counter the Rove spin that is taking over the MSM.

4. He needs to be in the background at this point
AS head of the DNC he is too politicial at this point IMHO. Save the people then allow Dean to attack.

5. So who the fuck is going to
stand up and try to counter the WH PR. If not even Dean will be heard the story will be whatever Rove wants it to be. As already seems to be happening.

9. This Message Needs To Be Spread 535 Ways
The mantra can now be "after New Orleans, do you feel safe with Repugnicans in charge".

While I'm frustrated as you are in the lack of any single Democrat coming out and flailing a huge hammer, what good does it do at this point as the Democrats biggest challenge are on the local, not national level.

Right now a lot of chickens are coming home to roost with Repugnicans. It took this fiasco to wipe away any vestigate that the boooosh regime looks out for the best interest of the country and they keep digging themselves further in the hole with each ham-handed mis-step they're making.

The chimpster's falling and abysmal approval numbers are starting to indicate those chickens and why help him out now by creating a distraction for Rove to tee off on.

Rove's antics always work best when he can find a boogie man...a Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Dean or if they can't find a man a Hillary or a Cindy Sheehan will do. They're trying to single out Blanco for the blame game right now. Why give them a target...without it, they show how petty and self-centered they are.

I'm betting "bush fatigue" is starting to set in real big in that important 20% that determines elections. Let's let this fatigue really burn in...remember, this is just the latest of many big scandals this regime is stuck in now. They can only run in circles so long until they pass out.

Democrats have a golden several months here to let the abuses of Repugnican rule totally devestate the country. There's nothing we can do about it...then next year the time to speak out will be greater than ever. There are major changes in the mind, my friend...let's not give Rove and his animals a way out of their corner.

6. Bush & Co. incompetence is relevant RIGHT NOW, not when the smoke clears
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 02:07 PM by KeepItReal
Is Mary Landrieu, Congressional Black Caucus and Dennis Kucinich are gonna be the only Democrats in DC lobbying for the people of Louisiana, Miss, and Alabama?

I love Dr. Dean, but he is missing in action right now. IMHO.

13. Just a guess...
Maybe he is not on TV because it could look like 'grand-standing.' With the recent reports about all the politicans 'making themselves look good,' his not going on TV might be a way of actually getting something done without the scrutinity...except for here, of course. ;)
