A thought: Retaliation for Blanco's March 2005 trade deal w/Cuba?

It hit me today that another reason, or at least partial reason, for the "punishment" of Gov. Blanco, the state of Louisiana, and New Orleans in particular, by BushCo may be Blanco's March 2005 visit with Castro & subsequent new trade deal w/Cuba...

1. There are more red state govs trading (& seeking trade) w/Cuba than Dems.

Most of the farm belt govs have, or are, working on deals with the government of Cuba.
