The Bush and Rove "spin" cannot work without the MSM assistance... |
|
If they are called on their bullshit, it cannot work. If the media folds again, as they did after 9/11, they will succeed with their propandistic bullshit, by division and by blaming someone else and never taking any responsibility. Perhaps someone should ask Bush a question that he was asked during the debate : "Have you ever made a mistake?" Give him a while and maybe he could think of one?

3. Damn, I hope you're right. |

I just know the incomprehensible amount of money that is at stake here for the Neocons, and what lengths they will go to maintain the status quo.
The money. Money = power.

4. again, I would say that, because many in the msm have seen this |
|
horror with their own eyes, and we as a nation have seen it before our very eyes, I don't know how much of the msm will assist with the spin this time. Of course, faux will join right in with hannity, olielly, gibson, etc... rush will start right in tomorrow.
But this WE saw. It's hard to spin that. We are just today seeing help arrive, 7 days later. Many (most) are dead. A day late and a dollar way too short.
We'll see what happens. But we have to stay on this so that when the lies and spinning get into high gear, we're there to put the pressure on to keep the truth out there.

5. msm is not far behind Bush in credibility with most people |
|
the right has dissed them for decades, and since Bush got in the left has been just as harsh.
Those in the middle are realizing that it's not just bias, but the absence of any useful info 90% of the time.
Katrina will underline this by contrast.

7. Kentuck--and that's why the Dems have to tomorrow start opening |
|
their mouths. The media right now will cover them because it's okay to bad mouth Bush. But give it a few days and it will not be and the media will ignore any Dems. They also have got to say the words (gasp) BUSH and REPUBLICANS. They cannot do the "government" or FEMA, etc. which is just a help of getting it off of Bush's back. Hillary called for a 9/11-like commission. That is sooooo lame. Fuck the commission crap. We see how that just delays blame for umpteen years and then exonerates Bush. She needs to get out and flap her mouth and her fellow Dems also and go after Bush like a New Orlean's displaced person would if the SS let them within chocking distance of him!!!

Look, 9/11 was caused by an enemy. You have to band together to fight an enemy, regardless of what caused them (i.e. corrupt foreign policy, addiction to oil, blowback from winning the Cold War, whatever). You have to be ready to respond. I was for going into Afghanistan. If we hadn't responded, we would have been negligent. Al Gore would have gone after the bin Laden-sheltering Taliban, and so would John Kerry, Bill Clinton, or Jimmy Carter. You just HAD to do it. The public wanted a head on a platter.
New Orleans is a FAILURE OF GOVERNMENT RESPONSE. It is unimaginable that our government could react so poorly at all levels, and ESPECIALLY at the federal level. HUGE amounts of money are spent on emergency preparedness each year. To let 10,000 people DROWN, STARVE and DEHYDRATE in one of the most stored cities in this country is inexcusable, no matter who is in charge.
The American People will once again demand a head on a platter. This time, it will be President Bush, and the media, even FOX, knows it.
