Lott: house in N.O., Senator from Mississippi? |
|
Something makes no sense, did I misunderstand yesterday? Was Lott's "destroyed house" in New Orleans or in Mississippi?
I heard N.O. on my local news today and wondered why he had a NO house, and, frankly, if he's rich enough to have one in DC, in his district AND in New Orleans, pardon my total lack of interest in his terrible "losses."

there was a whole lot more west Texas crocodile tears for Lott ("a friend of the region") than for the poor of N.O. or even Mississippi

3. NO isn't the only place damaged! |
|
Katrina actually hit the Mississippi coast harder than the Louisiana and New Orleans area. But because New Orleans is more densely populated and it's all below sea level the human suffering is greater (in terms of numbers, not in terms of individual suffering).
