Jesse Jackson said the 'H' word on Lou Dobbs - Halliburton.
He mentioned Halliburton got the contract to clean up. No comment from Lou. Think he was a little suprised.

4. on the contrary, i just listened to jesse and lou
and lou said that having residents be involved in the cleanup was a good suggestion.

haliburton has been hired by the navy to clean up their property. i could be wrong, but i don't think halliburton has been contracted for anything else yet.

6. Correct. But even that's an insult. They got the contract before the
people in the Super Dome got water. I've mentioned this to a couple of people and they are livid. All these people unemployed - why not go for a local company that will employ locals.

13. Is that true?
that they got the contract before the people got water?

If so, man, that's a line I'm gonna use over and over again.

5. He actually said more important things.
He talked about the evacuation of people so far from the area that they will not be part of the rebuilding.IMO-These jobs will go to guest workers and the common people will have their property acquired for corporate constuction. You here people who have been so traumatized that say they will never return. This plays into the Bushco agenda. Hastert has said we must rethink when NO is rebuilt.

9. HALLIBURTON?!
AHH!!! Thank you Jesse Jackson for telling everybody! I also saw him on CNN talking about what Kayne West said and he didn't directly say that Bush doesn't care about black people but he made the point I think that Kayne was trying to say. It took him three freakin days to reply to the people of New Orleans. And Brad Whitford and the other guests on Maher's show all also said this. Anybody with a thinking brain can clearly see it's about race.
