New Orleans Police Chief....Need a flavor from yall!
I just saw a press conference by the N.O. Police Chief (with Jesse Jackson standing at his side.) I saw it on a local channel, ABC, Channel 3 from Lafafette. We have been receiving all the local officials press conferences around the clock for the past week, whew, but a better picture of what is going on.

What I need to know...has ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS on any of the MSM? If you run across this press conf, either video or transcript, anywhere on the internet, like C&L, for example, please PM me with that website.

If you get a chance to see or hear that press conference, please listen to it. So many of the myths (such as AWOLs) are debunked. He explained exactly what happened with the NOPD during the whole week, and described what it was like to be in NO during that time. It stunned me, because I had not even thought of the things he was bringing up.

No chocolate, please.

Thanks!

2. Yes, I saw the Police Chief on CNN, they covered it, they stopped shortly
after Jesse Jackson started speaking. The Police Chief was great, he really spelled it out, imo.

3. I saw most of it today.
I was at my parents and they had it on. Yes, he was telling what the real deal was and I hope crooks and liars or someone captured it. One thing though, my nieces snickered and thought one of the things he said was a little too much info. He had said he had on the same underwear for five days. I told them well he's telling it like it is and then maybe everyone out there can understand what they went through.

5. LOL
I liked the part where he said he thought Nagin would go down in history as one of the best mayors ever. May be a litte exaggeraged, but not by much. imho

6. Lou Dobbs
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0509/05/ldt.01.html

The Reverend Jesse Jackson has been in Houston, Texas, and Baton Rouge, today. He's had some harsh word for the federal response to the hurricane disaster.

Jackson has said, in fact, racism is in part to blame for the slow response. He's questioned why President Bush hasn't named African-Americans to top positions at FEMA and said some of the media's coverage of this crisis has been outright racist.

Reverend Jesse Jackson joins me tonight from Baton Rouge.

Good to have you with us. Let's start with the...

REV. JESSE JACKSON, CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST: Let me be quick to say...

DOBBS: Let me say welcome, and then you can do whatever you want.

I hope this is what you are looking for?
