10. He said that they were promising they could keep US safe,
unlike the "other guy". Turns out they can't keep anyone safe. Talked about million dollars bridges in Alaska, while NO couldn't get the money . Asked where Cheney was.

11. sorry.
bush's legacy will be defined in two words: New Orleans
Where is Cheney who a year ago told us we were doomed if the other guy was elected?
Did not fund levee repair, but spent millions on Repub bridge in AK

paraphrasing, sorry, short term memory probs. :-)

much, much more.

36. Kick the bridges. Do it long and loud. Those ass clowns who made
it happen are senile bastards. Ted Stevens, Lisa Murkowski and Don Young are the three stupidest and immoral peewits that ever lived.

19. Just think of every scathing thing you've wanted to say the past week:
Keith just said it. Pretty personal towards Chimpy - "21st century Marie Antionette".

These guys who claim to be so competent, "how could anyone have anticipated??"...

On and on. Incredible.

24. Yes. There was also an author on the program, who said
this administration really screwed up FEMA, that FEMA director has few rights now. No one is safe now because of this administration, even though they run for the election promising to keep us safe.
They can't even save us from water.

15. He certainly told it the way it was. Really laid it on the line.
And said he'd held off on it last week, because the focus was on the victims. Now, he thinks it's time to start looking at what happened.

Keith is so awesome!

People who can catch this on the rerun (midnight ET) need to; the video also needs to get out!

If he doesn't blog it immediately after the broadcast ends, I'll transcribe it and post it.

25. It was great! Chertoff calling Louisiana a city
as symbolic of just how much the Bush Administration cares. Olbermann mentioned $450 million dollars worth of trophy bridges being built for Alaska while the levees in New Orleans deteriorated.

I would like to know how much pork was spent on other worthless projects by the Republican Congress while a disaster-in-the-making went underfunded.

30. This statement is brilliant
This must be picked up and used by congressional democrats!

And most chillingly of all, this is the Law and Order and Terror government. It promised protection — or at least amelioration — against all threats: conventional, radiological, or biological. It has just proved that it cannot save its citizens from a biological weapon called standing water.

We are less safe with this administration than ever before, and they run on a security platform.
