Is it personal encounters, media coverage, or what? I'm asking only because I live in Portland, and everybody I know of course is pissed and disgusted, but, that doesn't surprise me because it's Portland ... I try to get a feeling for what others in this country are thinking, but then sometimes I read anecdotes posted by DUers about this asshole co-worker or that freeper relative and how they are completely indifferent or even crowing about the death and suffering of thousands of people and it depresses the holy crap out of me ...
