Saints may leave New Orleans -- for good.
In San Antonio, where New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson had been conspicuously silent about the impact of Katrina on his football team's hometown and its residents, reports surfaced that the team's management is considering pulling out of the city and relocating, perhaps permanently, to San Antonio, where Benson has a business interests and a ranch outside of the city.

2. Another post full of gratuitous insult.
The guy owns a football team. It can't play without having a stadium to play in. It's not going to be playing in the Superdome for a long, long time.

So it has to find somewhere else to play.

What's wrong with that?

6. I would suggest that their priorities are wildly out of touch
with reality.

10. Given the 'importance' of football in this country,
it will be a minimum of two years before the Superdome is rebuilt, and it will be Better than Ever! (tm)

5. They've been threatening to do so for years now
"We wanna new stadium or we're gonna leave"

As a Louisianian sick of these fuckwads, may I be the first to say: "Don't let the door hit you in your collective asses"

8. They usually don't play worth a damn anyway
The Superdome needs to be demolished and a proper memorial built in its place.

7. Benson's not refunding season ticket holders, according to a friend
who is staying in Baton Rouge but working in N.O. on restoring cell phone service.

12. Figures. You do know he's a major repuke, right?
Whenever the San Antonio 'Aints come to your town, make sure everybody shows up with a paper bag over their heads, with eyeholes cut out, like Saints fans did when the team was headed for a winless season (they finally did win one game). Also be sure to boo them off the field.

11. Well, the NFL would reach an all time low.
Right now they're such hypocrites, I limit myself to my team's games only (which are not so swell ;) lately). If the Saints desert NOLA under these circumstances, I say fucking boycott the NFL, the Superbowl, all of it. Lord, I'll have to change my avatar.

Considering they all owe their inflated saleries to the now destitute, this is a low-down kick in the ass.

14. I don't think the players will stand for that.

Baltimore has Two Stadiums. It might take some doing with the officials. But I think the People of Baltimore would be more than happy to help NOLA keep their Saints. Even if the Ravens are gonna kick their butts. But not nearly as hard as they do the Colts!

We've had Saints in Camden Yards before. ;)
