Oh here we go, the new talking point .... |
|
It's the bureaucracy not the Bush.....
Damn, who the hell do they think CAUSED the bureaucracy?
When FEMA was a cabinet position there was NO bureaucracy, that's why it was a cabinet position...But in the DHS it's a subgroup that has to have approvals, paperwork, and no money. That's why it outsourced so many jobs...

2. That doesn't excuse Bush |
|
Bush made no effort to cut through the bureaucracy (if it existed) in a timely fashion. No one with a scrap of decency could stand by and allow their countrymen to starve and die of thirst. Red tape should be no obstacle to a concerned President. The conclusions are obvious: either Bush didn't know or he didn't care that people were dying. Either conclusion disqualifies Bush from the moral authority necessary to a US President. He should resign now.

3. The other new talking point is: "Dont think about the past or the future, |
|
think about right now". Cause they finally sent the army in. And we are supposed to concentrate really hard on that instead of what happened the week before.

5. The buck stops at Bush. Plain and simple. |

Leaders own up to their mistakes and act to fix them. Incompetent weasels make excuses and point fingers at others.

get out of the way and let somebody who knows how to cut through red tape do it. If the POTUS can't cut the tape, who can?

10. It's hard work cutting through red tape.... |
|
when you're cutting cake.
While New Orleans was undergoing a slow motion catastrophe on Monday and Tuesday, Bush was mugging for the cameras, cutting a cake for John McCain, playing the guitar for Mark Wills, delivering an address about V-J day, and continuing with his vacation. Then, on Wednesday, when he finally got around to saying something, it turned out to be a flat, defensive, laundry list of a speech.
I'm just saying...

Then again, that was one of the intentions of the Patriot Act.

11. They want to PRIVATIVE FEMA |
|
...Make it more faith-based so that Pat Robertson can play the role of God in deciding who gets saved or not.
They want big corporations to take control.
Keep in mind the Bush Cult called for a smaller government, one so small that it wouldn't be able to save human lives in a disaster.

if Bush had been there on Monday calling for NG and FEMA to hurry their asses up, and asked Congress to convene in a special midnight session (like they did for Terri), none of this mess would have happened!
Bottom line is, if Bush had stepped in and done something, people would have followed. Thats the end to that talking point!

14. Keep it vague and generalized. No one at the top takes responsibility |

or gets indicted that way.
Look at the Plame Investigation.
