Even Poppy Bush Says He Is Not Satisfied W/ Fed Response?
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 10:42 PM by Mark E. Smith
(Scroll down to the bottom for this gem. Then take the poll.)

<The elder Bush echoed Clinton's sentiment, telling CNN's Larry King that he is "not satisfied" with the handling of the hurricane's aftermath."

Nonetheless, he defended his son's performance:

"What can he do?">

Spoken like a true Bush.

1. What can he do?
Could have gotten off his ass from the TV set and ordered NORTHCOM to send in the Guard and get everyone out of there. Could have had them stationed all over the coast. Could have had them repairing the levees. Could have, should have, would have, didn't do and didn't care.

Instead he sat by and ate cake and played guitar for a few days before wondering if this was a liability for him.....Then he acted.:grr: :grr:

In other words, he basically let it all happen. Not worried at all.

2. "The service in this restaurant--er, area--is terrible . . ."
What do you want from someone who said he'd never apologize for the US even if it was wrong? Loyalty and money, the only stable ingredients of the Bush bloodline.

7. Define "fed".
Bush. Bush appointed Chertoff to head Homeland Security, Michael Brown to head FEMA (under Homeland Security). Homeland Security was Bush's pet project.

This is what Homeland Security did for us.

So, does Bush, Sr. think Bush, Jr. is president of some other country? Bush failed.

9. So, have they shrunk the federal government sufficiently to drown it in a
bathtub yet?

Clinton faulted "the government" rather than "the bush administration" which just handed them that particular talking point on a platter.
And they'be been running with it.

10. Smart move. The good cop versus bad cop and use the word "government"
so as to ensure no accountability.
