Another interesting thing I heard on the TBN network |
|
Earlier I flipped it to the local TBN network to see if they were talking at all about Katrina and everything that has happened. There was a guy named Jesse Duplantis on and he was blaming Satan for the hurricane. Yep. Saying how Satan is trying to bring the country down and get us while we're weak etc. Hey, at least he wasn't saying God was punishing the city for gays.

1. Is that the guy that "preaches" in front of some horror-show mural? |
|
I flipped past once, and there was a huge mural behind him of saddam and satan and 666 and mushroom clouds -
I didn't linger...

2. what crap, it is his god's fault, because -> |
|
his god is supposed to be all powerful, more so than satan. so his god has allowed satan to send the hurricane if satan did send it. thus his god allowed the hurricane by way of satan or his god sent the hurricane himself.
OR satan is more powerful than his god.
well he cannot have it both ways I think

3. Jesse is the only preacher left who has a soul. |
|
Watch him some time. His preaching is from the BIBLE, and he does it the right way.
He's the only one I really respect. He's real.

5. My BIL tonight said that "well at least they didn't have to have |
|
that Rainbow parade or whatever." I told him I would walk in a gay pride parade myself rather than have 10,000+ people lose their lives the way they did and hundreds of thousands lose their homes. They were thousands of poor black, white, gay, straight, old, young. They were not to be labeled other than victims of Bush's greed.
Then he started spouting off about partner benefits. This guy works for MBNA - need I go further. He said "Your mom was sick for a long time and you couldn't get her covered on your insurance. Why should they let same sex partners be covered? They're not even blood relatives like your Mom." I first said "What does that have to do with the hurricane?" Then went on to say that I was not my mother spouse, she was covered under her spouse's insurance. My husband isn't my blood relative either, but we're both covered. I don't see anybody fighting for blood relatives rights to be covered under benefits.
He probably thinks I have a big problem with PMS right about now, but as usual, it was just him being himself that pissed me off ;)
