What is causing the level three?
Is it just that the Internet is busy because of the disaster or is there some kind of interference from the Republicans?

3. The levels of reduced access are in response to site traffic.
The more registered users logged in, the more restricted access is to help keep the site running. It's not based on internet traffic as a whole, as far as I can tell.

4. Why not take up a collection for upgrades?
I imagine that many people would be willing to contribute to an upgrade fund. It would not be difficult to bring in more administrators. High traffic times are when DU is most needed.

There will be other times when high capacity is needed.

5. Not sure what level 3 is.
I was expecting to be kicked off on Sat because of all my expletive-laden posts on Fri night. That was my boiling point. I was just so pissed off! Still am but doing a better job at stabilizing.

6. Expletives are generally tolerated.
There are some exceptions in the rules. I avoid expletives but it is just personal choice.

Pissed off does not begin to describe how I feel.

Levels just describe the service level. The higher the level number the more features that have been disabled.
