I have a friend who has a brother that has drowned in the kool-aid |
|
Every time she is going to be at a family function--she asks me for some zingers to zap him with. She shared with me that at their family picnic today, several of the family members commented that they weren't arguing about George Bush--what was wrong? She said "He has nothing to say because he knows I am right"...she said her brother looked at her and said "You are right...he screwed up in New Orleans and I'm pissed. He needs to step down".
She said her entire family almost choked on their food. I sure hope this is a trend.

And this episode is too devastating.
I once spoke with a man for my work during an election season. He asked me who I was going to vote for. I told him I couldn't talk about politics since I was a state employee. He went on to say "I'm going to vote for Reagan because he's going to win. You want to vote for who you figure will win." It was a long time ago but I never forgot it. I never knew people voted that way.

My family is almost universally enlightened. Every summner my Republican brother hosts a family reunion. We whisper a lot and look around before raging against the chimp. Maybe the next one will be diferent.

Surveys are now showing 41% of the people STRONGLY disapprove of Bush,
But there remains a 21 % that STRONGLY approve.
one by one they drop.
be it a vet, a victim in NO,
or how about a rescue person that was kept from helping in New Orleans.
they just keep adding up, and I think once your on our side, eyes open, you don't go back.
