you can just see it in his eyes, and rumsfeld's too, this is all a big annoyance and an irritating interruption from the real business of slaughtering and conquering the poor and innocent in iraq.

they really wish this had never happened, not because of the carnage, but because new orleans takes the war off the front page, like no other tragedy could. the war is priority one, everything else, including hurricanes and floods, is delegated to second or third.
