Why?? Why??? Why???
Things were pre-deployed and pre-positioned in 2004 for Hurricane Frances.
see here:
http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/RWB.NSF/db900SID/SODA-64L2VL?OpenDocument

Pre-deployed and Pre-positioned are through out storm Frances Cat4 hurricane.

Now compare it to Katrina here:
http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/rwb.nsf/db900SID/SODA-6FR3AE?OpenDocument

not only is less done, but nothing was Pre-deployed or Pre-positioned.

Am I off my rocker, OR did FEMA Ignore Katrina??

1. There were plenty of supplies waiting to be delivered
But FEMA turned people away; refused to let them distribute. And it was FEMA that physically cut the communication lines set up by local government... then turned around and blamed the locals for not responding quickly enough.

Forget the spin of the hurricane itself, the RW political spin is far more deadly.

2. If you compare these 2 articles
With my tinfoil hat on.
I would say........
They did this on purpose to blame and bring down the Democrat leaders.
To show the public that Democrats are week.
The follow up spin will be to further kill the democratic party.
We can't sit back and let them blame the Democratic leaders when they refused to act.
UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I get more angry with every day that passes.

3. Remember....
we must remember what we saw and heard Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Officials stating that help was there, citing how many troops on the ground, how much food and water being dropped, and the media and the local officials saying nothing was there. People need to remember.

4. The majority in NO are poor black people. Remember that.
The repukes don't care about poor black people and they proved it to the world last week.

5. Yes, and they will want us to play that up
But, I think I figured it out.

They failed to respond to Katrina.
Blame the Democrat leaders for the failure.
Democrats = weak leadership
Democrats = failure
Bush shows up and Help arrives.

Democrats scream racist while Bush hugs blacks and blames the weak failure of the Democrats in charge.

How many times have you heard Giuliani's name.
It is a call for Republican leadership.
If all Democrats can do is call them racist, we are in big trouble.

8. Agree,
Due to an interview I saw this morning. Looks like they are trying to blame the Governor completely.

I think she will stand her ground and let them have it with both barrels once all of her people are as safe as possible.

6. It's time to promote Michael Brown
It's the only thing to do at this point.

9. You'd almost imagine
that Hurricane Frances hit a swing state during an election year looking at that comparison.
