Soledad says the water is fetid with dead bodies |

she said the air reeks of rotting corpses. They found a guy swimming around in the horrid water with his dog. He refuses to leave.
Christian Amapour says there is still no coordination - officials are wandering around hoping to bump into people who need rescuing. They found a guy this morning who has been living on M&Ms and Hersey bars since the storm. He was wondering when someone would come find him.
This whole thing is still a disorganized nightmare.

1. That's because FEMA, Brown and Chertoff are still in control. |

Political hacks can't lead. All they know is influence pedaling. And they had very little influence over Katrina. I've seen it in large bureaucratic organizations. They plug in their friends and find out their friends don't expect to have to actually do something.

I saw the chocolate bar guy yesterday. It's horrible. The water is so toxic now, they're telling people to expect skin burns.
It would be great if they could show a follow up on some of these people. But I suppose it's too difficult to do follow ups now. :-(
