Quote from neocon says it all
From NYTimes 9/6/05

"William Kristol, the conservative publisher of The Weekly Standard, said of Mr. Bush: "I do think people think he could have showed stronger leadership." But Mr. Kristol expressed doubt that the hurricane would have much lasting effect on the president's personal and political fortunes, because "people are capable of saying, 'The president kind of screwed this one up, but I still basically agree with him.'"

Mr. Kristol added, "I think the Clinton administration would have done a better job in handling Hurricane Katrina, but I'm also glad Bush is president and not a Democrat.""

Translation: Who cares about a few more poor people dying, we got our tax cuts

1. I wonder what he would be saying
if he had been locked up a few nights at the convention center?

2. KIND OF screwed up? Let us count the dead, and we will see
...what he means by KIND OF screwed up.

If the numbers go as high as some think, that would make 911 equivalent to say, stubbing his little toe????

3. Of course, they neglected to ask several thousand New Orleans residents
who, unfortunately, are dead.

<yawn>

Mr. Kristol, there is a street in New Orleans covered in sewage-infested water. I suggest you go there, and if perhaps the water rises above your head and you find life itself slipping from your very bones, be sure and yell, for all to hear,

"The president kind of screwed this one up, but I still basically agree with him.'"

4. No, Clinton's dalliance with
Monica was kind of a screw up, bush's response on the other hand was more of a calamity of unprecedented proportions.

5. Kristol Makes Me Think Of The Garbage Floating In The Streets
He and his father, along with the rest of the neos. These "great thinkers" with their plans of imperialism and world dominance. Every time I look at him he reminds me of the "Joker". Unfortunately the joke's on us.

7. Still basically agree with what?

Our economy hanging by a thread and ready to completely collapse should our foreign creditors decide they've had enough of our crap?

A national security program that exists on paper only, if that?

The breaking of our military for a war based on lies?

The slaughter of thousands in a war based on lies?

War crimes committed in the name of a war based on lies?

Sky-high gasoline prices?

A brutally gutted environmental policy?

An Iraq constitution which sends the rights of Iraqi women back to the stone age?

What is there for anyone in their right mind to basically agree with?
